Frequently asked questions
What does the SERP checker do?
It fetches any public URL and shows you exactly how Google will render it in search results — the blue link title, the URL breadcrumb, and the description snippet — using Google's real truncation rules (~580px for titles, ~155 characters for descriptions). It also audits the indexability blockers that keep pages out of Google entirely: noindex directives, canonical mismatches, missing meta descriptions, and weak URL structure.
Does this show my live Google ranking position?
No — and any tool that claims to show live rankings from a single page fetch is misleading you. This tool previews your listing and checks indexability blockers. Your actual ranking position depends on hundreds of factors (competition, backlinks, relevance, location) that can only be measured by tracking real search results over time. What this does tell you is whether your listing is technically sound enough to deserve a click when you do rank.
Why is my title getting cut off in Google?
Google truncates titles wider than about 580 pixels (roughly 60 characters, fewer with wide letters like W and M). Our checker estimates your title's pixel width and shows you exactly where Google will cut it with an ellipsis, so you can front-load your most important keywords.
What is the ideal meta description length?
Google displays roughly 155 characters of your meta description on desktop (slightly fewer on mobile). Longer descriptions get truncated mid-sentence. Keep yours between 120 and 155 characters, include your primary keyword naturally, and end with a reason to click.
