On-chain token security check

Paste a token contract address. We read its actual on-chain security profile — honeypot traps, hidden taxes, mint functions, concealed ownership, thin liquidity — not just the website around it.

How it works

  1. Contract security — GoPlus scans the bytecode traits: can it trap sellers, mint supply, hide its owner, self-destruct, or pause trading?
  2. Tax analysis — buy/sell taxes over 10% are a classic slow-rug mechanic. Flagged high.
  3. Ownership — renounced, held, hidden, or reclaimable. Whoever holds the keys holds your funds.
  4. Liquidity reality — DexScreener pairs and depth. Thin liquidity means extreme slippage and easy rugs.

Questions

How does the on-chain token check work?

Paste a token contract address (0x…). We query the GoPlus Security API for the contract's on-chain security profile — honeypot status, buy/sell taxes, mintability, ownership, proxy/upgradeability, pausability, blacklist functions — and DexScreener for liquidity and market data. Each risk deducts from a 100-point score with the exact evidence shown.

What is a honeypot token?

A honeypot is a token you can buy but cannot sell — the contract blocks sell transactions so your funds are trapped while the scammer drains the liquidity. It is the single most destructive token scam, which is why it carries the heaviest penalty in our scoring.

Which blockchains are supported?

Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base. Leave the chain on auto-detect and we probe each network until the token is found.

Is this financial advice?

No. This is a heuristic security screening based on on-chain contract traits — useful for spotting scams, not for investment decisions. A high score does not guarantee a token is safe or valuable.
